SCRIPT DEVELOPMENT

Stefan has a wealth of experience working with writers for theatre and radio – as a writer’s ‘friend’, a dramaturg and workshop director.  He has been a script reader and sat on panels for many competitions and new writing initiatives. Stefan devised and led on the new writing policy for Theatre by the Lake while in post and continue to develop new work as Artistic Director of Ragged Edge Productions.

New Writing Credits include:

2017 Dramaturg on The Chef Show by Nick Ahad, from my own original idea.

The production toured nationally in 2017, 2018 and 2019 and won two awards.

2016 Script development and direction on The Professor of Adventure by Peter Macqueen for Theatre by the Lake. Currently Touring U.K.

2013 Panel member for Royal National Theatre Foundation Playwright Award

2013 Script development and director The Cupboard Under the Stairs with writer Kevin Dyer for Quondam Theatre Company

2005 Devised and directed on tEXtPERIMENT new writing project for Theatre by the Lake. 

2003  Devised a new writing project for Cumberland Youth Theatre - Stage Soap which saw the creation of a multiple episode stage performance.  

Developed the New Cumbrian Play Competition (with support from North West Playwrights).
